We were founded in 1805 by the Right Reverend Peter Spencer and incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1813. We rejected the negative theological interpretations which rendered persons of African descent second class citizens, and therefore sought to establish a church inwhich all could freely worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Mission of the Union American Methodist Episcopal Church Inc. is to minister to the whole man (spiritually, emotionally, physically by teaching and preaching the gospel of and living the Gospel in our everyday lives. We are committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Multiplication, Fellowship and Love.
